So Vista pissed me off (again, for the 20th time).
It’s slow, it crashes as often as XP, it’s a usability maze and mess (finding something takes a while), it likes to access the hard drive too much (thing which drives me insane) and now, sharing with anything other than windows machines, is a nightmare.
I was used to sharing files between the Xbox (with XBMC) and XP. No problems there. With the latest updates of XBMC you can search through the workgroup and everything. No need to configure a specific share in those annoying configuration files anymore… unless you have Vista, of course.
So after reading for a bit I ended up installing CCX_GUI. I just don’t want to learn how to decipher the insane variation of tweaks that are needed to allow XBMC to stream from a Vista machine without a password.
So if you’re having trouble too, I suggest spending more resources in CCX_GUI to simplify your life.
It’s nice to be running an Os which uses more resources, more ram, it’s slower and it needs extra 3rd party software to actually be able to share your files.
I’m running Chrome 1.o and, apparently, I need to update my browser!
Wow, Enbridge sure is at the bleeding edge of web development. Look at that sleek design!
It’s cool to only support a couple of browsers but telling people to upgrade when they are using a browser which is newer than the ones they support makes them look stupid. Mr Enbridge Webmaster: either update the javascript detection script or change the wording.
Pretty amateur, I think.
